This branch was started in the year 1984 with an intake of 60
students and now the strength is 90 with an additional 10% as a
lateral entry in the second year .The total number of students
passing out per year in this discipline from this college is
99. The department has
well-experienced faculty, it has well equipped laboratories
updated to enter the needs of advances in Electronics and
Communication Engineering .
The laboratories are equipped with the state of the art
Technological Equipments such as P-III systems with latest
electronics oriented software. Dual and simple channel CROS , Signal
Generators , DC and AC Power Supplies instruments with latest
electronics oriented software . Dual and simple channel CROS ,
Signal Generators , DC and AC power supplies instruments kits etc.,
T , R modulators and demodulators Electronics Multimeters , 8085 &
8086 interfacing Modules , Latest Equipments for Microwaves etc..,

DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES
Annual Student Event :
The department introduced an annual event
"Talent-e-Deccan" for all engineering students of Electronics,
Computer Science , Electrical , Instrumentation and Information
Technology disciplines . The first event was conducted in 2004
. It is a regular annual program.
Student's Personality Development :
The department regularly conducts class
seminars and interactions like counseling.
Faculty Improvement Programmes
The faculty attends work shop , seminars and
training programs conducted by other institutes on a regular
basis . Faculty is encouraged for pursuing PhD and M.Tech programs
while on rolls.
Department Library: A
departmental library consisting of about 300 books and about 200
project and seminar reports of students and collection of university
question papers is maintained for the benefit of staff and students.
Industrial Visits:
Industrial visits are arranged for students of
second , third and final years.
