DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY  
         The Department was started in the year 2000 with an intake of 60 students . The Department is having well qualified and experienced staff, headed by Professor and Head , Syed Allah Baksh , who is having a total of 36 year teaching plus 2 years  industrial experience.

                 All the core courses are offered during the second and third year of studies with electives being offered in the third and fourth years.The final year students have to do project work in some good industries so that they are exposed to the job environment before they graduate.Apart from the final project , only the IT students will also be  doing MINI project in each semester . Also, many multinational companies like Satyam , Wipro , Infosys do conduct campus selection and quite a good percentage of students are selected every year . The computer center attached to the CSE department and the labs of the ECE department are used for conducting the practicals . The computer center has excellent and latest hardware & software facilities to do practicals and the projects.

                 The department has an "academic cell" whose committee members are the faculty of the department .The main aim of the academic cell is to identify industries/research establishments to involve them in the dept. activities and also to explore the possibility of undertaking consultancy/research projects. The dept. also conducts workshops, guest & extension lectures and seminars regularly. Also the cell arranges industrial visits in every semester to the reputed hardware and software industries .
